The best Interpreters develop the twin skills of being forgiving and forgetful.
Your brain believes whatever you tell it. When you speak with confidence (especially when you don’t feel it) it will step up.
But! When you mumble or whisper you are telling your brain you don’t know what you are doing and it will act accordingly.
As an interpreter you can never learn too much, or know too much, but you can definitely say too much.
VRS INTERPRETERS: Don’t you hate it when, mid-shift, your butt falls asleep? Because you know it will be up all night.

If you are willing to work between 1:00am and 6:00am anytime you are called, you will always have work.

UD: Again, I’m sure they haven’t given me a complete list of the things they don’t want me to do as a contractor. But I’m pretty sure that would be on it.
